Strange dream

I just woke up from a dream, in which the viewpoint character got a new insight. He summed it up as this, just before I woke up: "It is tempting to stick with something easy that we can do perfectly. But we need to move on to the difficult things that only a few can do."
I woke up and found that I was sick. I realized that the man in the dream, who was me but not me, talked about the few of us who can already see and hear beyond the surface of mass culture.
It reminds me also of something I read long ago in the Bhagavad-Gita: It is better to do your own duty, even very poorly, than to completely fulfill another's duty.
