Kinda like loaves and fishes, but for the mind

Posted on Nov 29th, 2006 by Itlandm : Conscientious Observer Itlandm
Every man and woman wants more money, it seems.  But wouldn't it be just as good if things were cheaper, or even free?  Behold, it is given before you asked, just as promised.

Today, having broadband costs me less than just having a telephone used to cost a few years ago, and for good measure I can still call halfway across the world, only I now do it for free. On the Net is more knowledge than I could even get an overview over in my lifetime, and more entertainment than I could wish for.  Even without breaking any laws, I can listen to beautiful music for free.  I can read entire books, as if my home was a vast library, many of them entirely free as well.  And not least, I can meet like-minded souls from around the world, which only a miracle could have led me to meet otherwise, and then at great expense.  But is this not a miracle?  No matter how much we consume, there is more left when we leave than when we came.

I liked your main blog…nothing wrong with being a misanthrope..equals out all the overabundance of perky barbies and kens in the world.

I myself am a codgy curdgemudgeon and a misanthrope.  I used to have zeal for life but now have lost in the pool of reality i linger in most days.  I also find myself hating people more readily for being too damn hopeful.  Its not that I am not hopeful myself..I just think being a cynic is a good counter-balance for the over hopeful.

There is way too much info on the net.  Who would have thought it would exist before it did?

Glad I can talk to Norway and other countries from Michigan in the US of A…

Nothing wrong with being single…

You wit is great…..i work for the federal government so appreciate a sense of humor when I can get it..
